School Tour Day With A Difference
This year, instead of travelling away from the school on our annual School Tour, we had a Tour with a difference, a Tour onsite at our School.
All Staff were very busy planning for this big day following all the current Covid safety guidelines that have been put in place. Wednesday 9th June arrived with a wonderful burst of sunshine, a perfect day for what was planned.
An array of fun activities were organised for all pupils from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. These activities ranged from Messy Play to a Picnic, a Treasure Trail, a visit to the local stream on a minibeast hunt and the Local Playground. Desmond and Barry, two GAA coaches delighted the pupils with fun sporting activities. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the surprise element that this day presented.
The biggest surprise of all was when an ice cream van arrived at the school and all pupils were treated to ice cream.
The pupils thoroughly enjoyed their day and many of them commented that this day was better than any tour they were ever on.
