Senior Infants and First Class

Senior Infants had fun carrying out some investigations on our Halloween pumpkins. We used links and cubes to measure how tall and wide our pumpkins were. We used a balance to find out which pumpkin was the heaviest. Finally, we tested our pumpkins to see if they would float or sink in water.

Second and Third Class

Paper Chain Challenge 

In pairs, the children carried out a STEM challenge to create the longest paper chain using only one piece of paper, a glue stick and scissors. We took our paper chains outside to measure and we enjoyed discussing what the best approach to this task was afterwards.
