Engineers week began at All Saints’ on Monday 3rd March and concluded on Friday 7th March.
What a busy week we had! There was an array of engineering activities over the course of the week ranging from watching webinars on Bridges and Cities of the Future which were so engaging for the pupils to completing engineering challenges. Such challenges included designing and constructing models of a Playground, a Zip line to carry 5 marbles, bridges and constructing Roller coaster Marble runs.
The week concluded with a Maths Talk in the hall with a group of parents visiting the school to speak with the pupils about the importance of maths in their chosen careers. Such careers included a builder, Sales Manager, nurse, civil engineer, construction engineer, mechanical engineer, mechanic and plumber/lecturer.
The pupils thoroughly enjoyed this experience and learned so much from it. Many thanks to the parents who came to speak to our pupils and to those who sent in a video message to the school.
