STEPS Engineers Week 2022 took place from Saturday 5 – Friday 11 March. During STEPS Engineers Week, themed lessons were taught in classrooms across the country to help children discover the exciting world of engineering in Ireland. Teachers and schools were given access to free engineering resources provided by the STEPS team, or created their own engineering themed activities.
At All Saints’ pupils enjoyed participating in the engineering challenges.
Building bridges was a common theme in the various classrooms with pupils using their engineering skills to build sturdy bridges.
In the Junior classes pupils built their ideal playgrounds using card and paper. There were some wonderful imaginative creations constructed.
In the middle classrooms, pupils using their knowledge of STEM constructed their own rubber bands racing cars with a competition to see which car could travel the furthest and quickest.
