Earlier this year the pupils in third class entered a Photograph competition organised by Coillte.
They were the lucky winners of the wonderful prize which was a trip to Beyond the Trees Avondale in County Wicklow. on Thursday 25th April.
This is a world class visitor destination. The treetop walk is 1.4km with immersive learning opportunities along the way. The walk is 38 metres above the forest floor where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Wicklow mountains.
Pupils then came back down the tower in the gigantic 90m spiral slide.
They were treated to a lovely hot meal and free drink in the Seed Café. Following this they had a wonderful time in the adventurous playground.
The children thoroughly enjoyed this special trip.It is certainly an unforgettable experience and we would like to attribute this to Coillte and the staff at Beyond the Treetop for their warm generosity and hospitality.
