Maths Week

Maths Week Ireland

Children and staff of All Saints’ National School are excited to be taking part in the world’s largest maths festival.  Maths Week Ireland is an all-island initiative and a partnership of institutions and groups promoting positive attitudes towards maths and highlighting the importance of maths in our lives since 2006. It is one of four national STEM festivals.

Maths Week Ireland runs from 10th-18th October. Children and teachers will engage and take part in activities around our school’s chosen theme which is Maths Art.

Children may also view televised Maths programmes on the Maths Week Ireland Website, some of which are presented by a Guinness World Record holder and Award Winning Mathematical Entertainer, a World Juggling Champion and Soap Bubble Scientist along with experts in Maths Education.

In addition, pupils from 1st – 6th Class are also taking part in online maths learning activities and have access to the website mangahigh.com for the next 25 days to practise their maths skills. So for the next week and beyond, be a cool girl or guy and give Maths learning a try! Remember Maths + You + Practise = SUCCESS!!
