Engineers Week

Engineers Week was celebrated in our school from Monday 2nd to Friday 6th with great enthusiasm and creativity. Throughout the week, pupils across all classes took part in an array of engaging activities and STEM projects designed to encourage curiosity, problem-solving  and  an interest in engineering .

In classrooms throughout the school, pupils explored a variety of hands-on engineering challenges. These activities included building simple structures, simple machines  and experimenting with different materials while working collaboratively to design and test solutions. The projects encouraged pupils to think critically, work as part of a team, and develop their creativity while learning about the important role engineering plays in everyday life..

A highlight of the week was a visit from engineers from  Eirgrid who spoke with the senior pupils about the exciting and diverse world of engineering.

. The engineers shared insights into their work and explained the important role that engineering plays.. Pupils were particularly interested in learning about renewable energy and the development of wind turbines. The visit gave pupils a valuable opportunity to ask questions and learn about engineering careers.

Overall, Engineers Week was a very enjoyable and educational experience .
