The 16th-24th October marked the return of Maths Week with an increased focus on practical Maths activities. Maths challenges and Maths games became part of the day. The Junior classes took part in Maths games, trails which were completed inside the building and throughout the grounds of the school as well as taking part in a fun pumpkin investigation which required lots of Maths skills such as estimating, measuring and problem solving.
There were various online workshops for several classes with the Mathematics World cup being very popular among the middle classes. This competition combines mathematics, movement and mindfulness to improve children’s physical health, mental health and engagement with maths.
