What a glorious Community event that took place at All Saints’ N.S. on Thursday 1st of February. Over one hundred grandparents visited our school and were the special guests at our Grandparents Day assembly as well as celebrating the Feast of St Brigid with a reminder of the theme and significant messages from Catholic Schools’ Week. We were also very blessed to have Fr Gorman in attendance who blessed the St Brigid’s crosses that the children and staff had made for their grandparents.
Following the assembly the grandparents toured around the school giving them an opportunity to see their grandchildren in their classrooms and to see the wonderful facilities that we have here at All Saints’.
The grandparents were then treated to refreshments in the hall and were able to mingle with each other making this event a wonderful social opportunity.
The children thoroughly enjoyed this very special and memorable day.
